Musculoskeletal Neurologic Treatment

Pittsburgh Hyperbaric utilizes an Electro-Acuscope for pain management and neurologic conditions, including but not limited to:

This FDA approved, microcurrent instruments stimulate tissue repair at the cellular level, rather than muscle contraction. The instruments' feedback-modulated microprocessors gather tissue impedance information and in turn provides a gentle current with "waveform control" that "whispers" at tissue accelerating the body's own natural healing abilities. Many patients report dramatic results in the resolution of their injuries when treated with the Acuscope.

For over 30 years the Acuscope has been used to treat injuries and chronic pain. Athletes such as Jack Nicklaus, Wayne Gretsky, Joan Benoit and Terry Bradshaw have been treated with the Acuscope.

We use the Acuscope and Myopulse to restore post stroke cortical issues, spasticity reduction, normalizing aphasia, edema reduction post chemotherapy, disc pain and general pain syndromes with excellent success. The ability to use this technology for Cranial Electrical Stimulation (CES) is quite profound in the pathway restoration of brain injuries. Its conjunctive use with hyperbaric oxygen therapy generates movements that could not be otherwise obtained giving the aphasic person hopes of speaking normally.
